The Hide Out: 2 Acre Writer's Retreat in the SoCal Mountains

This ultra-private cabin is best suited for writers and artists looking for a quiet remote retreat. With 2 acres situated on a cliff overlooking the desert below, there's space to think in an environment thats truly inspired. The cabin was built in the mid-60s and has a modern rustic aesthetic. It features an open kitchen plan with a separate den (we use as an office). 2 bedrooms featuring top of the line mattresse, a bathroom with an oversized clawfoot bathtub and a separate shower. To bring the outdoors in, there is a deck accessible via the living room that looks out over the mountainside. There are also additional decks built up the mountains and away from the cabin (accessible via a rock staircase) with a private hot tub for (literal) forest bathing, and benches cut into the massive boulders, offering commanding views of the desert cities below. We also have all the basics you need to be productive, like wifi internet central heating and AC, bluetooth speakers and kitchen essentials. Pleased note: This is not a place for families with young kids (the house and the grounds are definitely not kid-proof). This is a low key home base to think, create, develop, and recharge. And while we are away and arent able to use it for that purpose ourselves, we hope to pass that possibility onto others.
