This beautiful 1920's-era cottage is a perfect place for writing, seclusion, and nature. It's also conveniently locoted near Morrisville and Stowe, VT (10-30 minutes by car) where you can find great restaurants and year-round indoor and outdoor activities and events. The cottage has a lovely fireplace, porch, and deck, with the lake just steps from the front door. The cottage has been in our family for 60 years and is well-loved and very charming.

Comments: The cottage is on Lake Elmore. It's not in Wolcott, VT. The rent will depend on the period needed. It will be higher over Christmas and in January and February when we can rent it for ski season.

Comments: Great skiing nearby in Stowe, great biking and hiking and boating and swimming. Perfect place to mellow out and also focus on writing or other projects. Loons come back every year.

Comments: Our gorgeous cottage is 10 mins from Morristown (with a laundry mat). Cottage was built in 1920, but completely renovated during COVID. There's a screened-in porch, large deck, plus a 2nd marvelous beach property a short walk thru a wood.

Comments: We rent out the cottage on airbnb, but are perfectly happy to rent it to academics for days, weeks, or months at a time. Renting over Christmas and through Jan and Feb will be more expensive. But it's a fabulous place to write a book or do research.
