Quiet retreat by the ocean (1-2 people)

Description

As an academic in Virginia with roots in New England, my family loves to spend summers in Westport. We are looking for someone (or a couple) who wants a quiet place to work (on a writing project, art of some kind, or simply a contemplative life) between now and next summer. We want someone who will take care of this house we have come to love and be kind to our friends and neighbors nearby. It is a sleepy town, even in the summer, with more opportunities to enjoy nature than opportunities to shop or dine. Walk on the beach or in the woods, kayak in the rivers, go bird watching on the marsh or from the local oyster bar. The kitchen is made for cooking - big island, lots of space. During the winter, the bedroom has views of the marsh and the ocean beyond; views of the river abound as soon as you step out the front door. The bedroom is so big there is a sitting area and a large desk (your office). Downstairs, the TV/sitting room could accommodate a desk as well, so two people could easily work from home.
