In this section, I would like to focus on the ideal tenant/family and what they might most appreciate about renting our home. Our place is a peaceful, oxygenating sanctuary that revives the soul and inspires one's creative juices to flow. Academics have found the ambiance of our place to be most conducive to research and writing. Others have been energized to paint, write poetry, capture the glorious sunsets through photography and revel in the unspoiled natural environement. It is a place to further cement family ties and to enjoy family events together. Tenants who enjoy the above and who wish to become familiar with the various arts on the island of St. Lucia-music, visual arts, culinary arts, dance, storytelling, folklore will be able to do so. In addition to the afore-mentioned list, those with an interest in island history and bush medicine may pursue these through our island contacts. The ideal tenant(s) are content to live in a hospitable St. Lucian community, are independent of spirit at the same time open to interacting with locals as the need and desire arises. There are ample opportunities to hike, to experience the Farmers' Market in Castries as well as other markets on-island, to learn about the thriving chocolate industry, go sailing or indulge in other water sports, take a tram and/or go ziplining through the rain forest, none of which are terribly far from our home. In addition to air-conditioning, we have ceiling fans in the living room/dining room areas and stand-up fans in the bedrooms. All bedrooms are also equipped with mosquito nets.

Comments: More suitable for older kids than toddlers as it is located on a hillside; we don't have a car but have safe, trustworthy host drivers to take you wherever you need/want to go.

Comments: Wrap-around balcony of 750 sq ft has beautiful views of sea, marina, villages, valleys and Martinique on a clear day. It has a dining table and electrical outlets so excellent for computer writing, painting, bird/boat-watching and eating al fresco.

Comments: We do have flexibility re: dates and rental period. Ideally, we would like a minimun of six-month rental period.
