This lower flat in a duplexed house in northwest Berkeley is a wonderful place to live. The owner lives onsite and is happy to help you settle in. It is easy to get around everywhere you need to go. It is in a quiet friendly neighborhood near many amenities including parks (Cesar Chavez Park, Berkeley Marina, James Kenney Park, Cedar Rose), shopping (Fourth Street business district, Acme Bread, Berkeley Bowl market, Whole Foods, Gilman Natural Foods), and entertainment (Ashkenaz music & dance club, breweries, cafes, and restaurants). There is also a local library nearby, two municipal pools, three dispensaries, beer gardens and art galleries. We are also not far from Tilden Park, the Bay Trail, the Ohlone greenway, the ferry to San Francisco, and buses to downtown Berkeley. Walk or cycle to Solano Avenue, another great shopping area. This is an ideal place to to work, research, study, write, see the Bay Area and California, as well as visit with friends and relatives living here.

Comments: Your flat is in an old country house lovingly renovated with hardwood floors and special rustic features. It is the lower unit of a duplexed house. The flat is available next month but can be leased long-term. I am flexible.
