A home-away-from-home in Verona, Italy

This spacious, light-filled apartment is located in the neighbourhood of Borgo Venezia, just a few minutes east of the city center by car. It is on the raised ground floor (accessible by six stairs) of a “Liberty” style house constructed in 1939. It was fully renovated in 2021. It has an independent entrance and is set back from the street and surrounded by paving stones and a garden. Within easy walking distance are a grocery store, two very good pastry/coffee shops, a household goods store and other small shops. The American-Italian owner/host lives upstairs and speaks fluent English and Italian. The living room/kitchen area has a sofa, a dining/work table with chairs, a flat-screen television, and side tables. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator with freezer, stovetop with induction hobs, electric oven, dishwasher, Nespresso machine and electric kettle. The large bedroom is furnished with a generously-sized bed (170 x 200 cm), armoire, chest of drawers, luggage bench and wall safe for small personal items. The bathroom features a walk-in shower and beautiful mosaic details. There is a washing machine in the anteroom. The apartment has underfloor heating, A/C units, and dedicated, fibre-optic WiFi. Street parking is generally available in front of the house or very nearby, and is free of charge without time restrictions. There are multiple bus lines with nearby stops; travel time by bus to the center of the city is 5-6 minutes and to the main train station about 15 minutes. This is a no-smoking apartment. Pets are not allowed. We are looking for tenants (single, or a couple) who want a residential setting and access to neighbourhood services. From this apartment, you can experience the city of Verona like a native. Verona is a great base location for exploring nearby cities, with easy day trips to Vicenza, Venice, Milan, Padua, Bologna, and more.
