Our stylish and quiet one-bedroom apartment is In the heart of Angel/Clerkenwell next to Angel tube station (Northern Line), a couple of minutes’ walk to Upper St, Amwell Village, and Exmouth Market and 20 minutes’ walk through Georgian terraces to the Bloomsbury Universities and the British Library. A short bus/tube ride takes you to St Pancras International Station for Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam. You can walk home after a night at The West End or the Barbican. Local running and exercise routes include the Regent’s canal and the Barbican complex. The apartment is in a modernist block (constructed by Islington Local Authority in 1972) on a quiet street of Georgian cottages. This is our home when we are in London and we have decorated it to reflect the period it was built. It has oak parquet floors, furniture by Robin Day, Oxart/Trioh, France and Son and an Autoprogettazione dining table made by us during lockdown. The kitchen features tiles by Assemble/Granby Studios and cabinets by String Furniture. There is a separate workspace in a cupboard off the hall (no window) or you can work in the bright living room or move the desk into the bedroom. There is also a small leafy terrace facing to the back of the apartment off the living room where you can sit out in good weather.
