Hi, we're Inga and Matt! We are a married couple with a background in academics and tech, with a young family and we are making our basement studio available for short-term rent. Nestled within the picturesque, tree-lined neighborhood of Danforth East/East Lynn Park, this basement apartment is an inviting haven waiting for you. With its cozy main living space, three piece shower bathroom, smart storage, and a private backyard entrance, it offers a delightful retreat. The apartment comes fully furnished, boasts a charming walkout patio, and includes utilities, ensuring a hassle-free stay. Please be aware that you'll descend six steps to reach the apartment from the main street, and the ceiling height is optimized for individuals under 6 feet in height, providing a snug and intimate atmosphere. Natural light gracefully streams in through the front door and bahtroom windows, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The main living area is equally cozy during the day and night. It features a comfortable sectional sofa that easily transforms into a double bed. All the essentials, including fresh sheets, a duvet, pillows, and an extra mattress padding, can be found conveniently tucked away in the sectional's storage. Entertainment options abound, with a TV, a diverse collection of DVDs, board games, and books at your disposal. A thoughtfully arranged desk setup, complete with an ergonomic chair and a secondary monitor ready for HDMI connection, is also available for your use. The bathroom promises a delightful shower experience, complete with an efficient exhaust fan for a fresh feel. The kitchen's range hood fan is excellent at banishing cooking odors. Please note that the tiled floors can feel cool in winter, so wearing slippers or socks can be a good idea. Fortunately, the basement maintains a comfortable coolness during hot summer days. You can fine-tune your indoor climate thanks to central heating and air conditioning, allowing you to adjust the vents to your preferred temperature, despite the thermostat location on the main floor of the house. Rest assured, our family with children, resides on the main floor, and we are committed to maintaining a serene environment. While we do our best to keep noise levels to a minimum, you may occasionally hear footsteps from above during the early mornings (7:30-8:30) and after school hours. If you're a light sleeper with a unique schedule, kindly take this into consideration. Our location is wonderfully convenient, offering easy access to Woodbine subway station and the Gerrard Streetcar, as well as nearby bike paths, local shops, and restaurants within a short stroll. And did we mention the beach is an 8 minute transit ride away? We are always here to assist with any questions or concerns, as we primarily work from home. Comments: The studio apartment with an office nook has its own separate entrance from the backyard. Since we use this space as an office when it is not rented, there are two doors that leads into the main home. While rented, both doors will be locked.
