Location location location! Our house is located in prime Bloor West Village-next to shopping, Toronto's famous High Park, the subway system, recreational lake trails and amenities. Only 15 minutes by subway from downtown, we are a tree-canopied, quiet residential neighborhood with easy access to all that Toronto has to offer. On Hallowe'en, however, our street comes alive with children, friendly neighbours and fun. We are located across from a secondary fire station-our firefighters never sound their sirens but love young children visiting. We are also across from Swansea Town Hall-where yoga classes, fencing lessons, a community library and many public meetings take place. The neighbours have also recently started a community farmer's market, selling produce from their backyards. Walk across the street to buy a street-grown tomato or cucumber - or to just have a friendly chat with the neighbours. We have lived here for over 23 years but with one son now at university, we are left with extra space in the house. it is probably time to sell but haven't yet found a location in all of Toronto we like better! The house itself was built in 1963 and has undergone continuous renovations since. You may hear walking or some muffled voices through the ventilation system from the floor above and they may hear yours - this is normal in any house arrangement.
