Our apartment is the top flat of a two-unit building on a leafy corner, with sunlight throughout the day. We are two creative professionals, and we find our home the perfect place to live and work. There are offices at both ends of the house—far enough away from each other that we can both be on calls and not hear one another. There’s central heat and you won’t need air conditioning, even in summer—it rarely gets hot in San Francisco and nights are pretty much always cool. You can take your coffee out on the deck off the kitchen, which gets brilliant afternoon sun. The yard below, shared with the downstairs neighbors, has a Weber grill. The large eat-in kitchen is stocked with all the appliances and pots and pans you need. Connect to wi-fi to listen to music from speakers in any room in the house. In the living room there’s a 60-inch flat-screen TV with surround sound. The fully remodeled bathroom has two sinks, a tub, and a bidet toilet seat. The neighborhood is friendly and peaceful and the downstairs neighbors are very quiet. When you want to stretch your legs, pretty walks in all directions await you, including down Sanchez Street, a “slow street” with limited car access that’ll take you to the Noe Valley shopping and dining district. Café, restaurants, fresh produce and groceries all within a few blocks of the flat. MUNI train and bus lines are a five-minute walk away, and there’s a BART station in Glen Park village, less than a fifteen-minute walk away. Highway access to Silicon Valley and the East Bay is quick and easy. You’re welcome to use a free month’s pass for two people to any of the Bay Area’s FitnessSF health-club locations.
