This casita, with its own private entry, was custom-built in 2016 as a self-contained apartment on the grounds of a large private home located inside a gated community in Cave Creek, Arizona, where that town meets North Phoenix, North Scottsdale, and Carefree. It is fully furnished with a combination living/dining room, a half bathroom, an eat-in kitchen, a walk-in pantry, a walk-in laundry room (with lots of storage space and a combination washer/dryer unit), a bedroom, and a full bathroom. Major kitchen appliances are LG brand in black stainless steel (oven/stove, microwave with convection oven, oversized refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher). The living room and the bedroom both have large, flat-screen televisions. The kitchen is well stocked with flatware, dishes, glasses, mugs, pots, pans, cooking utensils, a dual Keurig/automatic-drip coffee maker, a toaster oven, a reverse osmosis system for purified drinking water, and an array of cooking spices. The bedroom has a queen-size bed with a remote control for adjusting leg and head positions. The bathrooms are stocked with towels and sheets. The full bathroom has a large, walk-in shower (no bathtub). The unit has an alarm, a keyless digital entry system, and its own air-conditioning and heating systems. All utilities (other than phone) are included, including high-speed internet, cable television with many premium channels, electricity, and water. GCU and three of ASU's campuses in the metro Phoenix area are approximately 30-minute drives from the home.
