Spacious, Cozy, and Colorful Furnished 1 Bedroom Condo in Downtown Portland

Portland, Maine, United States
Rates from USD $3000 | Monthly

Apartment or Condo | Entire Home
Available Dates:
From January 15, 2024 until May 31, 2024

Description

I have a Fulbright Fellowship in Bulgaria this academic year so we are renting our furnished condo while we are abroad. We are seeking a responsible person or couple who will love our home as much as we do. In the past our SabbaticalHomes tenants became friends; hopefully the same will happen this time. This condo has two levels and an open plan. There is a half bath downstairs and a full bath upstairs. It comes with a Queen bed and a twin daybed in separate areas upstairs. We heat and cool with heat pumps. Exposed brick, high ceilings, natural light, potted plants, and old-school stereo with a record player & vinyl collection make it cozy and bright. Our building is on Congress street between Downtown and Munjoy Hill, with an easy walk to Old Port, Bayside, Washington Ave, Eastern Prom, Portland Food Co-op, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Portland Public Library, restaurants and shops, Roux Institute, University of Maine School of Law, and Maine College of Art. It is a 6 min drive/20 min bus ride to University of Southern Maine, 10 min drive/40 min bus ride to University of New England, 30 min drive to Bowdoin College, 40 min drive to St. Joseph’s College of Maine, and 45 min drive to Bates College. One of the best parts of living in this condo is that it is directly above the fiction section of PRINT, a wonderful independent bookstore. You can go down in your pajamas, or if you order a book from them online they will leave it by your mailbox for you. We established a tradition that you may want to continue: whenever friends and family visit us from out of town, we take them into PRINT and buy them a book.
