We're looking to rent our beautiful 2-bedroom condo in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It's available from January through July 2024, but exact dates and length of stay are negotiable. Perfect for visiting scholars at any Boston-area college or university, or for someone looking for a quiet space for creative work. The apartment is on the first floor of a two-unit condo building. It's an older building but very well maintained and updated. Amenities include 2 large bedrooms with closets; office / bonus room with desks, bookshelves, and a printer; recently renovated bathroom; living room with TV; dining room; nicely-outfitted kitchen with lots of counter and cabinet space; 2 enclosed porches; a front yard and a backyard with a lovely garden; and laundry in the basement. The apartment is tastefully furnished and is set up for a family with young kids. The bright primary bedroom comes with a queen-sized bed, a large dresser, and two closets. The second bedroom is perfect for children, with both a crib and a loft bed for an elementary-school-aged child, along with plenty of storage for clothes, books, and toys. **If you don't have kids, or won't need the second bedroom, we are happy to offer a substantial discount.** Rent will include gas, electric, water, trash, and internet. There are several brand-new playgrounds within walking distance. Grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, dry cleaner's, and a movie theatre are a short walk, bike, or drive away. We're also right around the corner from Sofra Bakery, which The New York Times named one of the 50 best places to eat in the U.S. Our apartment is very convenient for public transportation, with several bus lines only a few blocks away, and easy access to the commuter rail and "the T" subway (Red Line), which makes it easy to get anywhere in the Boston area and beyond without a car. Commuting to any Boston-area college or university is a breeze. Harvard is the closest and easiest to get to, but MIT, Tufts, Brandeis, BU, BC, Northeastern, Emerson, and UMass are all very close by. We are academics ourselves, and are happy to provide in-depth advice about how to plug into the community here.
