Well equipped house close to historic centre of Pézenas in Southwest France

Description

Pézenas (population around 10,000) is a medium sized town in Languedoc, the region of France southwest of Provence, offering an opportunity to experience French life at a relaxed pace. The town itself has an historic centre dating back to Medieval times, a more "modern" area (where the house is located) which was built between 1650 and 1850, and additional surrounding areas with all services. The large outdoor market (saturdays) can satisfy all your food shopping needs, but fruit, vegetable, patisserie, boulangerie, butcher, wine etc. shops are also open daily within a very short walk from the house. The region around Pézenas offers excellent hiking, walking and cycling trails year-round as well many sites to visit such as Pont du Gard, Carcassonne, Nimes and Arles. The mediterranean sea with its magnificent beaches is approximately 30 minutes by car or you can visit Mèze (around 20 minutes) which offers L'Etang du Thau beaches as well as an interesting port town.
