Hello! I’m a writer on leave for the winter. I’m hoping to find the right person or couple (LGBTQIA friendly) to rent my fully-furnished home while I’m away. Located close to fantastic Catskill hikes, Minnewaska State Park, and Mohonk Preserve, you’ll never run out of new trails to explore. 10 minutes from the beautiful Ashokan Reservoir (fishing, paved walking/biking path with outstanding views of the Catskills Mountains). 40 minutes from Bellayre ski resort. 45 minutes from Hunter Mountain ski resort. Fantastic road biking right from the house. If you need recommendations, I’m happy to share my favorite local gems. The house is also just one mile from Tetta’s Market (grocery items, gas, pizzeria, deli), 15 minutes from Stone Ridge (supermarket, Dunkin' Donuts, pet store, Walgreen’s pharmacy, pizza, sushi, and other restaurants). 30 minutes to Woodstock and Kingston. The house is fully furnished. Upgrades within the last six months include a renovated kitchen and bathroom, as well as a freshly-painted bedroom and exterior. Although some areas are being used to store my things, there is plenty of storage space. The basement is mostly full (it’s not a livable space) but there is room for bikes, skis, etc. if you need some additional storage. The office has a desk and office chair. It’s also a nice open space with wood floors great for practicing yoga (yoga mats and blocks provided). Tenants are responsible for shoveling snow (I will provide you with a good shovel). For cleaning up after yourselves, I have also provided cleaning products. There is currently no trash pickup (I keep a low-waste household and haven’t needed it). Pickup can possibly be negotiated depending on the length of your stay.
