Our home is located in beautiful Flagstaff Arizona, in the Westwood neighborhood, nestled at about 7000 ft near the San Francisco Peaks. Our neighborhood is quiet and family friendly with larger lots just outside of Flagstaff City limits. Our home sits on a 2 acre property backing Coconino National Forest and state land with easy access for running, biking, hiking, and recreational vehicles. Flagstaff enjoys 4 seasons and stays cool in the summer for those looking to escape the desert heat. We are a little over 2 hours from Phoenix, 40 minutes from Sedona and a little over and hour to the south rim of Grand Canyon National Park. Flagstaff is an outdoor adventurists dream town. Easy access to downhill and cross country skiing in the winter (our house is about 25 minutes from Snowbowl ski area and 45 minutes to the Flagstaff Nordic Center). Numerous hiking and mountain biking trails abound, easy access to multiple kayaking and paddle boarding areas. cute, dtown and good restaurants, friendly community and a plethora of outdoor activities at your finger tips with additional national parks and ski destinations all within a days drive. The layout of our home is as follow. First floor: large master with ensuite bath (jacuzzi tub), shower and dual vanity, walk in closet; living room with wood burning fireplace, dining room, kitchen; den with desk space, closet and sofa sleeper, 1/2 bath and laundry with washer drier and slop sink. Second floor: BR 1 with walk in closet and queen bed/desk/dresser, bedroom 2 with full bed, dresser/desk/closet, full bath, with dual vanity, and large flex room with king size bed, sitting area/TV and Peloton. Pets are negotiable but we do not have a fenced yard. Ideally we are looking for a family to rent our home for a full year while we are on faculty sabbatical, but 6 month arrangements might be negotiable.
