On a quiet street close to everything ANU, Canberra City, Lake Burley Griffin, Black Mountain and Braddon Dining and Entertainment, our house is adjacent to Haig Park and 2 blocks from Eloura Street Light Rail Stop. The best public, independent and private schools in Canberra are all within cycling distance. Our new-build home is fully furnished with all the essentials for a comfortable stay, for entertaining groups, and has a full security suite for peace of mind. With a three-story void to a 4 metre skylight, and living/bedroom aspects facing onto Mount Ainslie and Black Mountain and Telstra Tower, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more Iconic Canberra view. Worried about winter? Our no-gas house has a fully-electric heating system and underfloor bathroom heating powered by solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall. Air Conditioning comes in handy in the afternoons in warmer months. The original Canberra Brick Patio is encircled with privacy hedging and a security gate, and our vegetable gardens, flower beds and ornamental trees provide the green prescription needed for your morning coffee. Spread across 4 levels, the lock-up single car garage is underground, with living/dining and kitchen and laundry plus toilet on the ground floor. Level 1 is the Retreat, with large master bedroom on the west end and large master bath on the east with rainwater shower, double vanity and a bath big enough for two. Level 2 has its own bathroom with toilet and shower and 2 bedrooms (1 which can serve as an office space with Mountain views). You'll have no need for a stairmaster at our place - leg day is complete once you lay your head down to sleep at night! Our home will be easy to move into - unpack your clothes, connect your laptop to the Wifi, and you're done! It's also the easiest to lock up and getaway to all the region has to offer: local wineries, the Snowy Mountains, The Sapphire Coast, and a 2.5 hour drive to the sites of Sydney! Better yet, catch a Murray's Bus from the Canberra station (2 blocks away) that will drop you directly in the heart of Sydney for under $50! Our Turner home is perfectly located for wine-lovers, museum-lovers, foodies, cinephiles, shoppers, cyclists, bushwalkers, swimmers, runners, sailors, rowers, bowlers, and couch potatoes. The hardest part about a sabbatical in our home will be leaving it!
