The flat is a recently renovated 1960s maisonette, distributed across the 2nd and 3rd floor (US 3rd and 4th) of the building, filled with art and plants and vintage furniture. The building is a small block of flats in a quiet council estate with lots of green space, there are flats below and to either side, but none above. We are within short walking distance to the beautiful and expansive Kennington and Burgess Parks and to many lovely cafés, shops, and restaurants, and 15 minutes walk from Kennington and Oval tube stations, with many options for buses. Downstairs is a north-facing kitchen and a sunny south-facing living and dining room, which has large windows and a small balcony with table and chairs. The living room has a comfortable couch and a dining table which also doubles as a work or writing space. The kitchen has plenty of pots and pans, baking equipment, knives, cutting boards, etc, and you are welcome to use the spices and whatever is in the pantry--just do replace anything you use up. In addition to fridge, stove, and ovens, the kitchen it also has a washing machine and dryer. There is also a small WC. Upstairs is the larger bathroom with tub/shower and the guest bedroom where you would stay. The guest bedroom has a double bed with a comfortable mattress, there are blackout curtains on the window to keep out the south-facing morning light if you like to sleep in. Next to the guest room is the small office which has a desk, comfortable desk chair, south facing window, and couch. The flat also has an additional bedroom which is *not* included in the rental and will be used for storage while we are away. Elena, the cleaning lady, comes to clean every two weeks. This is a family home and so I am looking for someone who will be respectful of the space while we are away.

Comments: The flat is located in between two beautiful parks and close to the shops and restaurants of Camberwell highstreet. It is also zone 2 and a short commute into central London (about 45 min by tube to UCL).
