We're a family of three, who have lived in this house for over three years (10 years in Amsterdam). We love the practical, quiet setting, the cycle to work, the nice neighbours etc. I'm a Humanities scholar from the University of Amsterdam, who is abroad with an EU-funded project. My husband is temporarily working from abroad, due to family care duties. Our son is studying abroad. This constellation is leading us to let our house. We hope that a couple (two offices) or family with one older child (1 office and the bedroom/office in the top of the house) will enjoy our place. The baby grand piano, some artworks and a number of other items in the house are family heirlooms and we hope that you will appreciate them and be careful with them, while you "step into our lives". We retain the "granny flat" downstairs, so that I can come back every now and then to attend meetings etc. We're more than happy to answer any questions about how best to use your time in Amsterdam, make some introductions etc. Everything is so close by in what is quite a small city, and there is so much going on: no doubt, you will love your stay!

Comments: The house is modernist (1972) with large windows. Trees front and back make this a beautiful place to be. In addition to the balcony (1st floor), there is a secluded terrace off room at the top of the house. Many of my books will remain in the house.

Comments: This quiet, green neighbourhood is close to Science Park (UvA) and Amsterdam Central Station is in easy reach via local train (11 minutes and 7 minutes walk). Cycling to the city centre only takes 20-25 minutes. A shopping centre is 300 metres away.
