Lovely 3-bed home in heart of Portland

Description

We are a family of three (our son is 4) hoping to find a 2-6 week home exchange this summer. (We are also open to renting.) Ideally we'd find an exchange in U.K. or Europe but we are open to other possibilities. Our home is a beautifully remodeled historic (by American standards :) 1916 foursquare in one of the best neighborhoods in Portland. Walk to Hawthorne, Belmont, and Division restaurants and cart pods. The master bedroom has a King bed and blackout curtains, guest room has a queen bed with standing desk and territorial views, kid's room is a single "house bed" suitable for toddlers up to 10-ish (depending on size). The window filled office has a couch with a twin hide-a-bed for one adult. Large dining room, cook's kitchen with island and french doors that open onto patio and porch (great for outdoor dining), laundry in basement, and incredible front porch for hanging out and having coffee or a drink at day's end. Our neighbors are lovely people (there is even an airbnb next door for larger parties). If you cycle we can loan you our bikes (including the electric which is our second vehicle)--Portland is very bike friendly, and we are two blocks from a bike street leading to springwater corridor along the river and the ped/bike only bridge, Tilicum Crossing. We can loan our truck for visits to the majestic oregon coast or Columbia River Gorge etc. We are writers so no need to bring your books (if you read English,) we have you covered and then some.
