Private island, oceanfront, woods, peaceful, natures best in Nova Scotia

This home is fully rented in the summer months as a short-term rental. Bookings are slow for the shoulder months, Oct 1st through to April 30th. My wife works at Dalhousie University in Halifax and told me about sabbatical homes. I thought it would be an excellent opportunity for a win-win situation for my family and you. During the winter months, Nova Scotia experiences chilly temperatures and frequent snowfall, creating a landscape that is vastly different from the tropical climate of the Bahamas. However, many people in Nova Scotia appreciate the serene beauty of winter. The blanket of snow covering the trees and fields creates a peaceful and picturesque scenery that is unique to this region. The quietness that comes with winter allows for moments of tranquility as everyday life seems to slow down. Along with the serene atmosphere, outdoor activities such as ice skating on the lake 5 minutes away and snowshoeing provide opportunities to embrace and enjoy the winter season on the island. Many find solace in the peaceful charm of a Nova Scotia winter in St. Margarets Bay, especially when you add in a fire that hypnotizes you with its flickering flames. Or what about the snowfall you had overnight, and you wake up, the sun is out, and you are the 1st person to walk the private road? It will feel like you are on the moon. When there is a snowfall during the day, you will love that too, sitting in the living room in front of the fire while gazing out the window watching the snowflakes fall, and the backdrop is the ocean. If your plan is to stay here during winter months, the road is plowed, but the timing of the plow is not scheduled. Depending on the storm's size, it could be quite late in the day. I recommend you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle if you require the freedom just to get up and go and not have an unplowed road stop you. As I write this, I am in the middle of a snowstorm that will last 24 - 36 hours. I left my house in a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with 1.5ft of snow down on the road and navigated the road with no problem. If a 4x4 is not your thing, I am available for any emergency. Now that the winter months have been mentioned, let me tell you about experiencing the fall months on the island. It's stunning. It's my favorite time of the year to live here, and I wish more people could experience it. The nights are so clear, there are no bugs (they disappeared with the summer), and picture a crackling fire outside fighting to drown out the swish of the ocean waves softly crashing while you drink a hot coffee or sip on a nice wine while thinking about the book you're writing. The island is great for morning, afternoon, and evening walks; it is stunning, tranquil, and beautiful. If you stay here, you will not want to leave. Last thing. Remember, as we negotiate a win-win agreement, I live across the road. I mention this because I can fill the gaps for you depending on your wants and needs. Whether that's getting groceries, doing laundry, weekly cleaning, getting wood, shoveling snow, really, it's whatever you need.
