My wife and I, and our two little boys aged 2 years and 6 months, are relocating to Boston for a 2 year sabbatical from July 2024. We're looking to rent out our home in London, or even better, exchange for one within easy commuting distance of Boston Children's Hospital. We have a 3 bed, 3 bathroom Victorian terraced house on a quiet residential street in South East London, in a suburb called Hither Green. It's spread over 3 floors, has a recent architect-designed ground floor extension, and a garden. The street is full of lovely people, many of whom have become good friends. It's close to the very un-London, village-like expanse of Blackheath (15 mins walk), Royal Greenwich park (30 mins walk), and multiple other smaller parks. The closest is just around the corner and has large duck pond, a cafe, playground, tennis courts, all-weather basketball/football facilities, and a library/community space. You can walk to the Thames river in about 45 mins through quiet streets and parks. The area is full of good restaurants and pubs, and there are excellent schools and nurseries (daycare/kindergarten) within walking distance. There are easy transport links into central London (<15 mins by train to London Bridge, <25 mins to Charing Cross (for Strand, Royal Parks, Covent Garden etc). Please message me if you're interested - we have some flexibility with dates and willing to consider any options that suit both parties.
