We are looking for a renter for the 2024-25 school year while we spend the year abroad. Our home has a spacious semi-open floorpan on the main floor which includes front foyer with coat racks, living room with couch, chairs, TV, and electric fireplace, dining room with four chairs and a bench to seat up to 7, kitchen will all new appliances, and kids play room with desks and storage. There is also a 1/2 bath on the main floor. The upstairs has 3 full bedrooms plus an additional room that can be used as another bedroom or office. There are 1 1/2 bathrooms upstairs. The basement has an additional bedroom and full bathroom, as well as large living/play space. There is a huge backyard (bigger than most in this area) with off street parking, raised beds, and compost bin. The home is 100 years old and has original wooden moldings and hard wood floors. The location is fantastic- the home is on a central bus line that takes you to the metro in five minutes or downtown in 25. We are a short walk to another metro line and near good schools. We're walking distance to Takoma Park with lots of shop and restaurants, Rock Creek Park with great hiking trails, and Takoma Rec Center with a huge free public pool and gym. We're close to a Safeway, Whole Foods and a number of other small independent grocers. We are also willing to include a vehicle for use if needed.
