I am letting out my cosy flat in North London. These are the reasons I have loved living here for that last decade, and may chime with someone viewing this advert… • I can see trees from every window. Nice big windows too. In the evening the red sunset through the trees into the lounge is lovely. • Antique furniture. I have nothing against modern, but I’m old fashioned. • Wooden floors, apart from the bedrooms, which have warm carpets. • Easy to heat. I’m on the first floor in a terrace, and so benefit from the warmth of the surrounding flats. • Roman blinds. My mother made them. She’s good at that kind of stuff. Transport links: • Bus stops within three minutes' walk, with routes to Waterloo and London Bridge. • Other bus stops 6 minutes' walk away cover many other routes. • Canonbury Overground is 8 minutes' walk • Highbury and Islington (Victoria Line) has a connection from Canonbury, or is 20 minutes' walk from the flat • Arsenal (Piccadilly Line) is also 20 minutes' walk from the flat. Green Spaces: • Clissold Park and Highbury Fields, both within 10 minutes' walk Shops, Pubs and Restaurants: • Lots of choices on Green Lanes, and around Highbury, all a short walk away. Good To Know: • There’s no TV. The internet speed is around 250Mbps, plenty for streaming and video calls. • There’s no thermostat. You can easily set a timer for the heating, or switch on and off at will. • That’s a mock wood-burning stove in the photos. It’s actually a very effective fan heater. Ideal Tenant: Although there are two bedrooms, it’s a small flat and best suited to one or two people, with the smaller bedroom used as an office. I’m looking for someone who is considerate to the other residents - so no noise before 8am or after 11pm. Because of the wooden floors, I always take my shoes off as I come in, to avoid disturbing the family below.
