We are retired journalists looking for someone to enjoy our home during our annual travels. Our place is ideal for 1 person, 1-2 couples or a small family. We can configure as a one bedroom, 1,000 square foot (90 sq-metre) unit over two floors ($3,100 per month) OR a two-bedroom, 1500 square foot (140 sq-metre) home over three floors ($3,500 per month). We are very well-located for any academic connected to the University of Toronto or Toronto Metropolitan University, the former within walking distance and the latter easily reachable on a single streetcar ride. We are also very close to Toronto Western Hospital, and the cluster of hospitals on University Ave such as the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto General, Princess Margaret's and Mount Sinai. The bright, spacious office makes it ideal for anyone performing remote work of any kind. Vibrant, family-friendly neighbourhood with quiet streets, parks and playgrounds, plenty of restaurants, galleries and night life: 5-min walk to Little Italy, Little Portugal and Ossington St nightlife. 10-min bike ride to Chinatown and Kensington Market, Koreatown and the Annex. Streetcar and buses are a 2-minute walk; it's four bus stops to the subway. Metro supermarket is 3 blocks away. Dufferin Mall is a 10 minute walk. There is a YMCA with pool, squash courts and full fitness facilities at the end of our street. Please note that there is no on-site parking, though inexpensive on-street parking permits are easily available online. Outdoor spaces are not furnished in the winter months. The house is attached to neighbours on both sides, but is well-insulated for sound, especially in the sleeping quarters. Average heat and hydro in winter are $300 a month for the whole house and are negotiable.
