I’m a recently retired NPR correspondent and my wife is an author who will be a writer-in-residence at Stanford for the next two academic years. We ideally would like to do a home exchange over that period, but also would consider renting. We will have an EV auto that would need a place to charge.

Comments: Our home is in one of the most desirable and bucolic neighborhoods of the DC area. Supermarkets, restaurants, boutique shops and the Metro are all a short walk away. Great local schools, a tennis and swim club nearby, leafy walkways and friendly neighbors. It’s a mature suburb with stately homes, lots of EV’s, but little traffic.

Comments: This is a classic 1948 brick center staircase colonial renovated and expanded in 2002. Solar panels on roof, large yard entirely planted with native species, so no lawn to mow! Oak floors throughout, except for linoleum tiled kitchen.
