One bed/one bath in single family home in a quiet CT neighborhood

Description

This house is in a quiet neighborhood in Portland, CT. The large bedroom has a queen bed, closet space, and a dresser. The bathroom has been recently renovated. The kitchen has a large stainless steel refrigerator, an electric stove and oven, and a dishwasher. It also has a quaint sunroom, backyard deck area for hanging out in the summer and fall, a raised garden bed if you'd like to grow herbs and small vegetables, and an attached garage to protect your car from winter snow. A washer and dryer is located in the basement. The house is semi-furnished, though I can have a few more furniture pieces available if necessary. The closest university is Wesleyan University in Middletown which is a 10-12 minute drive away through Main Street in Portland. Middletown has lots of restaurants and amenities. Portland is also 20 minutes local drive to Glastonbury CT, which has a Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and other eateries. There are three golf courses and a driving range in the area as well as a neighborhood park in walking distance of the house. I am looking for a visiting professor, postdoctoral fellow, and/or graduate student to stay at my house while I am away on sabbatical. I will be using the smaller second room as storage.
