We are subletting our 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment while we travel for the months of May and June. The apartment was new in March 2020 and has updated features. Our daughter's family lives upstairs and shares the backyard and laundry room. This downstairs unit has a single step to enter, a full updated kitchen, and bountiful light in the great room. You will have access to our large outdoor space that's great for dining on warm days. Our yard also has a gas grill, covered seating area, play structure for kids, garden, and fruit trees. Fully furnished, with queen beds in both bedrooms and fully stocked with linens, kitchen items, etc. Kid-friendly but no pets due to allergies. The last three summers we had lovely families with young kids and it was great. We have also brought in cribs and twin mattresses to accommodate younger kids if needed. One bedroom could also be used as a home office. We are a few blocks from Ashby BART, walking distance to the library, Berkeley Bowl supermarket, drug store, bus lines, restaurants, and playgrounds. This would be a great opportunity for a family during renovations, visiting scholars, house hunters, visiting family members, traveling nurses or anyone who needs a place to stay for two months. South Berkeley is a diverse neighborhood located about a mile from downtown Berkeley and 1,3 miles to UC Berkeley. Our neighbors are a mix of very long term residents, families of all ages and graduate students/university affiliates. The rent is $3000 per month including utilities, available May 1 through June 30 (possibly flexible). Prefer one renter for the full time, but open to other arrangements.
