Academic at ANU (Male, late 30s) looking to share my townhouse in Canberra. The room available is a master bedroom with private en suite bathroom and walk-in closet. The room has East-facing large windows with a private outlook over the street and a school across the road screened by trees. You will be sharing the townhouse with me (an academic). The house has two floors with all the bedrooms on the first floor and living spaces on the ground floor. An enclosed fully private car garage is also available. The household is queer friendly and quiet. I've recently moved in and awaiting furniture shipment from UK. Photos are of the property as currently unfurnished. However, room will include a double bed and side-table, and chest of drawers if desired. Living room and dining room will also be fully furnished. Ideally suited to someone looking for regular part-time accommodation in Canberra (i.e. commuting academic or political staffer) who may require the room for regular short periods, or for medium-length academic visitors (i.e. 1-6 months). The home is in an excellent location for access to city, the entertainment districts of Braddon and Dickson including restaurants and bars, and plenty of green space for walks and exercise. The house is on a quiet side street. It has good transport links with local buses and a tram stop less than ten minutes away.
