Our home is a beautiful tenement style flat with 13-foot ceilings and loads of sunshine, right on Leith walk (10 seconds from a tram stop and 10 minute walk from Waverly). It is walking distance to the city centre, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Stockbridge, Leith, and the waterfront. The flat is tastefully decorated with three bedrooms (a huge primary, a child's room, and a study/bedroom). It also has a walk-in laundry and utility room with washer and dryer, as well as a large storage closet for shoes and coats. The main room has a very high-quality super king bed, huge windows and a mini balcony over the garden, and lots of closet space. The third room is a study/office with a queen size mezzanine bed and reading area over a large desk, a daybed/couch, with books and a reading nook -- the mezzanine is truly amazing as it creates a whole separate room above the study. It's the cosiest spot . There is one bathroom with a bathtub and shower. And the kitchen is fully equipped with a high-quality (and visually gorgeous) stove/oven, two fridges, a full-size freezer, and a walk-in pantry stocked full of essentials. The flat is 5 minutes walk from Tesco, Sainsbury's, Co-op, and two amazing Asian supermarkets. It's also near all the best restaurants on Leith walk and Broughton street. Just below us is the most popular sandwich shop in the neighbourhood. Of course, we do have a fully stocked kitchen, if you prefer to cook at home. But some of the most amazing Edinburgh hot spots are a stone's throw away. You are welcome to our extensive library of literary fiction, nonfiction and poetry. We're both professional writers, and we've designed the flat to be a literary sanctuary with many plants and joyful photos. We'd like a guest who will take good care if it. We would need someone who will water the plants with care, and is respectful of books. The flat is 200 years old, and it's important to treat the windows, etc with care. Though it's also extremely functional and well-restored, so you'll forget you're somewhere historic.
