Looking out over trees and forest, the location is 12 minutes walk to transit connecting to all regions of beautiful Vancouver. This is a place where a writer or post-doctoral candidate can complete a writing project with minimal distractions. A former resident writes: "Tucked away in the lush greenery of West Vancouver, this charming suite offers a serene retreat away from the city but still close enough to all Vancouver has to offer. This idyllic haven is a blend of comfort and simplicity, making it an ideal space for those looking for a quiet place to write or work and relax in between. All windows let in lots of natural light and offer rich forest views. For extra inspiration, the suite is walking distance to trails and the beach. Dundarave is the nearest of the West Vancouver villages, consisting of a grocery store, a bakery, several cafes, restaurants, and other boutique shops. Surround yourself in nature and productivity will follow! " The former resident continues: "I never wanted to leave this suite but got a job in the US. I still look to it as my happy place. I stayed for a year and was highly productive during this time. Living in a suite surrounded by nature, I found the serene environment conducive to productivity, allowing me to focus and accomplish more with a clear and refreshed mind. The suite is surrounded by forest, offering a stunning view to greet the day. The soothing patter of rain and the chirping of birds created a tranquil ambiance that was ideal for working from home. My favourite memories are walking to the bakery in Dundarave and picnicking on the beach. It is a relaxing and scenic walk to the grocery store, pharmacy, bakery, cafes, and restaurants, and other boutique shops. West Vancouver is the perfect location to completely immerse yourself in nature but be close enough to city amenities. The owner is an amazing landlord who I am happy to say became a friend." A few more considerations: Having a car can useful as the location is partway up a mountain and can be a challenging hike, especially when carrying heavy parcels. There is no parking on the property or on the cul-de-sac, but there are good opportunities for street parking less than a block away. This opportunity is for a writer who does not wish to cook: no cooking facilities are provided or permitted other than the microwave and kettle provided. There is a small fridge with a very small freezer section. There is no smoking, vaping, or use of candles.
