This special apartment is in a 17th century building in superb condition on Rue Vieille du Temple in the heart of the Marais in central Paris. It's perfectly located, five minutes from multiple Metro lines, including Line 1, the best in Paris. You can walk everywhere: 3 minutes to Musée Picasso; 10 to Musée Pompidou; 10 to Ile St-Louis, 15 to Notre Dame, 30 to Musée Orsay along the Seine, 45 to Eiffel Tower -- a wonderful stroll along the Seine. More than 30 restaurants, cafes and bars within a 5 minute walk! Boulangerie, fromagerie, boucherie, primeur, many parks all are within an easy stroll. Numerous shops featuring Paris's top clothing brands and curiosities are just out the door. No tacky souvenir shops here. The apartment is accessed through a security door into a private cobblestone courtyard, then through an interior building door. There's a large (for Paris!) elevator and a dramatic, wide circular staircase taking you up to the 3rd floor (or French deuxième étage). The apartment has multiple tall windows that open wide and overlook a large, secret, cobblestone courtyard with trees and a tended garden with roses. The apartment has ancient beams on the ceiling, is beautifully furnished, and has a large bedroom with a queen bed, a comfortable pull-out sofa bed in the living room, a marble dining table, a large desk, a fabulous multi-function shower, kitchen with all you need, W/D, lots of books, a built-in smart TV, etc. The apartment is light-filled, quiet and peaceful. It will be a retreat from the busyness of the Games. No AC (few old buildings have it) but stays remarkably cool in summer thanks to the courtyards and old stone walls.
