Unique furnished studio with ample light and patio in quiet neighborhood

Gorgeous studio with unique design and lots of wood. There is a lot of natural light from many windows and a small cupola. This is an independent unit with no shared walls. The main living area has hardwood floors and a carpet inset; the kitchen and bathroom floors are cork. The main area has shutters that you can pull out to partially separate spaces. The kitchen is relatively small but complete, with a full-size refrigerator, gas stove (2 burners), and electric oven. The bathroom has a tile shower and porcelain sink. There is one closet for storage and two chests of drawers (one in bathroom and one in "bedroom" nook). Sublet comes furnished. Queen size futon bed (bedding not provided). I'll clear off a couple of shelves for the sublet, but most of my books will stay. It's a perfect cottage for a writing retreat or other work from home (or for a relaxing retreat near all the culture and nature the Bay Area has to offer). Includes exclusive use of a lovely garden patio with two chairs and small table. I ask that you water my house and patio plants—don't worry, they are very forgiving! Sublet is available for the summer and fall (six months, June 10-Dec 10, 2024). Preference will be given to those who can commit to the full six months. Walk to campus is about 15-20 minutes to north gate (0.8 miles). Water, garbage/recycling, and high-speed wifi included. No laundry on-site. There is a laundromat down the hill in the "Gourmet Ghetto," with many restaurants and cafes nearby. Street parking is plentiful. You just need a Residential Parking Permit from the City of Berkeley. There will be less clutter than you see in the photos.
