I am a Biology Prof. at Cornell doing research in the biomedical field; been here for 20 years for work and raising kids. I am now looking for a small family or a couple on sabbatical to rent the upstairs (furnished) of my house for one year. It includes 3 small bedrooms and a large living room connected to a dining room, kitchen with all amenities, 1 bathroom with bathtub and shower, a mud room connected to 1-car garage with reserved storage shelf space, and access to two decks (one in back equipped with gas grill and sunrise views of Cornell, and one in front); there is a driveway for 2-car parking in front of a one-car garage. The house is furnished except one bedroom may receive more items that the renter would provide; kitchen is fully equipped including coffee maker, plates, mixer, pots and pans, etc, towels&bed linen provided; internet/wi-fi and all utilities (except garbage for which you buy your own bag tags) are provided. You buy your own TV streaming service. The house is equipped with adjustable forced-air heating and central air conditioning. Laundry in basement will be available and shared when owner present. Owner will live mostly in a nearby town with partner, or traveling for work, but will use the basement area intermittently for living space on occasion, as needed, and to store belongings during this one year period. The basement area (used by owner) has separate entrance, its own bathroom, a large TV, and a mini-gym. You are welcome to use mini-gym and downstairs bathroom in basement when owner is not there. Pets are not allowed. Cul-de-sac area is quiet, safe, and ideal for small children. The back yard is fenced in and has a gate. A storage shed is located in the backyard area. Lawn mowing is provided, but no cleaning or snow removal. Ready to move in starting on June 1st.
