Beautiful historic home overlooking Ila park in the heart of Trondheim

Our beautiful home in one of Trondheim's best neighbourhoods is available from summer 2024 until summer 2025 while we are in London for the year. Our three bedroom flat is situated on the third floor of a historic Art Nouveau building. One side of the flat, the kitchen, living room and master bedroom, directly overlooks Ila Park while the other side, children's bedrooms and bathroom overlook a quiet quad. The parkside of the flat is completely unoverlooked and gives a feeling of privacy and open skies in the heart of the city. Ila is a little neighbourhood to the west of Trondheim centre. There is a lovely neighbourhood school which has municipal Norwegian immersion classes for new arrivals (mottaksskole), there's also the Steiner school and it's a 10min walk to Birralee International school. Ila is close to the fjord and river trails, the hiking and cycling trails of Bymarka and skiing around Skistua. There are local supermarkets, gyms, cafes and pubs, but also you're only a 15min walk to town where you find everything else you could want. Street parking is available if you have a car, but we don't miss not having one. There are direct buses to NTNU Gløshaugen and Dragvoll campuses and Sintef and hourly trains to the airport from Skansen train station. The flat is a 10min walk from Kalvskinnet campus and 20mins walk from Øya campus and the Kavli institute. Our flat is fully furnished and set up for a family of four or five. The kitchen and living rooms are connected by a double doorway with sliding doors, and there are two large bedrooms (18m2) and a smaller bedroom (9m2) that can be a third bedroom or possibly a home office. We fully renovated the flat from the electrical wiring outwards in late 2020 when we moved in. There is both electric heating and a wood-burning stove that gets a lot of use in the winter!
