Our recently gut-renovated 2 bed (+ office w/separate entrance) 1 bath home is available for academic rental September 1 2024 - June 1 2025. It is also available this summer from June 1 - July 15 (rates starting at $2000/week for summer). The house is located on a dead end street in a quiet beach community with access to public and private beaches. It is less than 2 miles to downtown Guilford and close to many hiking trails. The home has 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a traditional bedroom and has a king size bed w/high end Avocado foam mattress and under bed storage. Cotton bed linens are provided. Bedroom 2 has a large built in window seat that we use as a toddler bed w/storage below. We also have a pack and play available. This room is accessed via a large 5'-0" wide barn door (not pictured as its not yet complete) to the living room. When that door is open the room functions seamlessly as an extension of the living space. We use it as a bedroom by night and playroom by day, but its also an excellent reading spot as it has large windows and looks out over the water. The bathroom has a full size tub/shower. Towels are provided. The kitchen is spacious and has counter seating for 5-6 people as well as a spacious pantry. It has a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and 24" stove and comes equipped with all of the cooking items you could need including high end Viking stainless steel cookware, a toaster, espresso maker, coffee maker, food processor and blender. All dishes, silverware and dish towels, etc. are provided. The main living space is open to the kitchen. and contains an oversized sectional with custom navy slipcovers (not pictured). There is a TV as well as shelving filled with books and games. There is a mix of modern and vintage/antique furniture throughout the home. Off the kitchen is a deck with gas grill and couch/chairs that seats 4-6 people. The yard is directly off the deck and has distant water views. Apart from the main house there is a 1 car garage with attached mudroom and washer/dryer area. There is also a private office or art studio space with a separate entrance. It has a glass door and windows looking out over the street. It is a lovely quiet space for working. NOTE: Home is nearing completion of a gut renovation. Photos are of current condition, but some rooms are missing final details (e.g. - jute rug in living room, new slipcovers on couch, cushion on daybed, new garage door, sliding barn door to bedroom 2, etc.).
