I love my sunny one bedroom apartment in Oakland, just one block away from Lake Merritt! California King size bed and a brand new mattress. Clothing rack and closet space. Towels and sheets provided. Tushy bidet in bathroom and a bath tub. Speedy wifi + a standing desk for working. Windows everywhere, including the bedroom. It's a corner apartment with views onto the street and the lake and no one looking in, so lots of privacy and amazing light. Laundry and dryer across the street at Lake Merritt Wash House. The Lake Merritt Bart station is a ten minute walk, from there it is a quick ride to San Francisco or Berkeley. A bus stop in front of the house, and several bus stops nearby. There is a Baywheels station down the street, for hop on hop off bike rental. Restaurants, gyms & crossfit, take outs, movie theatres, breweries, bars, pharmacies and department stores, OMCA Oakland museum and groceries nearby. Downstairs corner store for liquor and quick beverages. The best taco truck in town just around the corner! Tons of books, especially for folks in the humanities :) I cycle to UC Berkeley's campus within 25 minutes, but public transport is easy as well. As a scholar and author, I travel a lot, and therefore have a lot of experience subletting my place. I'm responsive, friendly and flexible.
