I'm suggesting an apartment that I inherited from my paternal grandparents. They were Italian immigrants from Naples who settled in the old town of Nice in 1932. A "salestre" is an open inner courtyard in Niçois buildings (especially in the Old Town of Nice) that acts as natural air conditioning because hot air flows upwards and cools the walls of the apartments. Two workspaces allow you to work and relax. There's a desk and a secretary. Indirect lighting creates a soothing atmosphere. You're just steps away from Cours Saleya, where Matisse's house is located, close to Place Garibaldi, cafes, restaurants, and a 5-minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais (beach and bike path). L'accès se fait par deux adresses, vous pourrez entrer par deux cages d'escaliers différentes. Il s'agit d'un des premiers immeubles construit dans le Vieux-Nice classé par les bâtiments de France. L'appartement comporte deux "salestres" qui représentent une architecture caractérique du Vieux-Nice. Un "salestre" est une cour intérieure ouverte dans les immeubles niçois (spécialement dans le Vieux-Nice) qui agit comme une climatisation naturelle car l'air chaud s'engouffre vers le haut et refroidit les murs des appartements. Deux espaces de travail permettent de travailler et se reposer. Il y a un bureau et un secrétaire. Les éclairages indirects créent une ambiance apaisante. Vous êtes à deux pas du cours Saleya où se trouve la maisson de Matisse, à proximité de la place Garibaldi, des cafés et des restaurants et à 5 minutes à pied de la promenade des anglais (plage et piste cyclable).
