This is a fully furnished, cozy, and peaceful family home on a quiet, tree-lined street, close to downtown Silver Spring with easy metro access to Washington, DC. Silver Spring is a lively inner-ring suburb of Washington, DC, with lots of restaurants, two movie theaters (including the American Film Institute), a Whole Foods Market, a farmer’s market, a spacious and modern public library, a brand new public aquatic and recreation center, and coffee shops, all within a short walk. There are several lovely playgrounds with playing fields just minutes away. Takoma Park is nearby, with charming, locally-owned shops and restaurants, a farmer’s market, and a natural foods co-op. Our house is also an easy walk to the Silver Spring metro station, providing quick access to Washington, DC, with its vibrant cultural life, (free) museums, restaurants, and the National Mall. We are also close to both Sligo Creek Park and Rock Creek Park and their many walking and biking trails, tennis courts, playgrounds, and playing fields. Most of the local colleges and universities are readily accessible by public transportation or car, including the University of Maryland, George Washington, American, Howard, Georgetown, and Trinity Washington Universities, as well as the Catholic University of America. The house has 5 rooms that could be either bedrooms or offices, currently configured as 3 bedrooms and 2 offices, and 2½ baths. There is also separate guest room.
