This beautifully restored light-filled home in Lilyfield offers a generous open plan living room with leafy outlook, two bedrooms, a room that is used as an office space; a large bathroom with seperate bath and shower and a lush private garden. This home is comfortable and peaceful; close to the University of Technology and the University of Sydney, local cafes, parklands, cinema, supermarket, local produce market and the centre of Sydney. This is our home, it is fully furnished, so you will have everything you need, including linen, basic pantry supplies, music, lots of books, tourist information and travel guides. The house was built in 1900, please be aware that this is an old house (not a hotel) with a lovely heritage quality but not everything is perfect. It is very comfortable house, has a new kitchen and has been recently painted. Location: Nestled between Balmain/Rozelle and Leichhardt in Sydney's Inner West, Lilyfield is surrounded by award-winning restaurants, pubs, shops, weekend organic food market and flea markets, playgrounds and parks. The historic and leafy Callan Park is at the top of the street, a bayside running/walking track and 50 metre heated swimming pool and gym are a 10 minute walk away. The centre of Sydney is ten minutes by car, 15 minutes by bus (a two-minute walk away) or 30 minutes by tram. The University of Technology Sydney is 20 minutes away by bus or tram and the Sydney University Camperdown campus just 20 minutes by bus. Sydney's beaches and the airport are a 25 minute drive or an hour by public transport. Sydney Fish Market, Darling Harbour, Chinatown and the city are a few stops away on the tram. You are also close to the Balmain Peninsula where ferries will take you across beautiful Sydney Harbour to Circular Quay with links to all Sydney Harbourside ferry services. Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed and looks out onto the leafy front verandah and garden; Bedroom 2 is a smaller room with a double bed and looks out onto the back garden. All mattresses and pillows are high quality and all rooms have a wardrobe for your use. There is an office space with desk and printer which looks out onto the front garden. There is also a very comfortable cane lounge in the living area that has been used in the past for a child to sleep on, bedding for this lounge can be provided if requested. It would only really be suitable for a child 10 or under. Bathroom and laundry There is one bathroom which has a seperate bath and shower and a toilet. There is an outside toilet which we only use occasionally. There is washing machine, dryer and outdoor clothesline. Internet: Free high speed internet access is available. Heating and Cooling: The house is a classic style home with gas heating which keeps it very warm; electric heaters are also provided in the bedrooms. The lounge room has a working wood fireplace for a very cold nights (rare in Sydney). The home is not air-conditioned. There are fans available for cooling. Access: The house is on one level with a few steps up to the entry and into the garden. There are also stairs into the garden at the rear of the house. There is no disabled access. There is ample free unlimited parking on our street. Garden: There is a terraced leafy garden with table and chairs. This is a non-smoking home. Pets are negotiable.
