Full-sized bed features a super comfy Saatva organic/natural latex memory foam mattress. ALL utilities included: Heat, Electric, Water AND WIFI/internet. The apartment will be entirely, privately yours. Your bathroom & kitchen are exclusively yours. Laundry in shared, separately keyed basement. Private 3 season porch. Backyard gate opens onto bike path to campus--25 minutes away by bike. Two blocks to main bus lines (A, C, C1 & B)--25 minutes to campus by bus. Easy walk to some of the city's best restaurants, bars, grocery stores, coffee shops, and art galleries. Lake Monona is two blocks away. Neighbors consist of a healthy mix of: government workers, retirees, families with kids, grad students, professors, researchers, service workers, artists, established tradespersons, etc....EVERYONE that makes Madison the cool place it is! Some things to note: Please look closely at the photos. Go to a streetviewing app to get a feel for the neighborhood. On furnishings: It's just a simple abode. Furniture is all solid wood; older, but in excellent condition. So please make sure what you see in the photos is ok with you. Also note: This is an old house. 1926 Olde. Though it has been well-maintained and all of the mechanicals upgraded recently (new wiring, modern hydronic heating, new insulation, etc.), it is still olde. As with bungalows of this era, the bedrooms are small. Therefore, the bed is just a full sized bed--smaller than a queen, larger than a twin. There is also a pull-out chair/bed, twin bed sized, very comfy memory foam mattress. This would be most ideal for folks who know & understand that old houses—even well-maintained ones like this— have quirks. Things to note on the neighborhood: this is an old neighborhood with a lot going on. Mostly positive. In summer, there are nearby festivals. It is sometimes under the flight path. Sometimes loud military jets (questions about this should go to Senator Tammy Baldwin). There are trains blowing their horn a half-mile away. Lots of people walk & talk as they go by on their way to parks & the store. The driveway is shared. In sum, with all the fun mix of activities & life, it is no surprise that this neighborhood landed in the American Planning Association's Top 10 Neighborhoods--in the country!
