Location: Our home is conveniently located in the southern part of Coogee. The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is close by (about a 15 minute walk; 5-10 minutes by bike or 5 minutes by car). The University of Sydney, the University of Technology and the University of Notre Dame are quite close, too. We are located in a residential neighbourhood with cinema (at The Spot), shops, parks (including an Environment Park), wetlands and restaurants all within walking distance. Beautiful Coogee beach and stunning rock pools are a 15 minute walk from the house (slightly longer for little legs or slower walkers) and a range of golf courses is a short car trip away. A large teaching hospital (Prince of Wales) and several primary and high schools are nearby, including the Lycee Condorcet (Internationale Baccalaureate). The house is also close to children’s playgrounds. Good shopping malls are handy and a convenience store is minutes' walk away. It takes about 25 minutes to get into the CBD by bus/light rail (perhaps a bit longer in peak hour). Coogee is 8 kms from the CBD, which by Sydney standards is considered not far. Amenities There are 4 bedrooms; 3 bathrooms (one includes laundry); 2 living areas; a modern kitchen and ample space for a home office. The house also has a lovely outdoor area (with barbecue and table & chairs) at the rear which is great for entertaining. The solar heated pool is a fantastic place to relax in the warmer months. Solar panels have also recently been installed on the house roof top, reducing the carbon footprint and electricity costs. The floor plan makes this an easy house in which to live. People who have stayed in the house say it is a great place for a family.

Our garden will need watering and maintaining but thankfully there is no grass to mow. It is more sustainable that way and quicker to look after, too.
