5-room flat (138m2) in Berlin-Kreuzberg near tempelhof airfield

Berlin, Berlin, Germany
Preferred Destination: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Apartment or Condo
Available Dates:
From August 1, 2024 until August 31, 2024

Description

Hello all, we will do a research stay in Toronto as a family. We are offering a 5 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor with two balconies in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Each of the bedrooms has a loft bed. Tempelhof Airport is a 15 minute walk away. A bus stop is located directly in front of the apartment (M248 in the direction of Alexanderplatz and Bahnhof Südkreuz). The subway stations (U7, U6) are within 10 minutes walking distance. Between Gneisenaustraße, Mehringdamm, Südstern and Fidicinstraße stretches a well-kept neighborhood of old buildings in the former Kreuzberg SW 61. The posted appartment belongs to this area. Along Bergmannstrasse and its side streets, you get a glimpse of Kreuzberg's versatility and the way of life of its residents - a bit more sedate than in wild SO 36, away from the notorious club scene, but still multicultural and lively. The residential area in Bergmannkiez was laid out in the second half of the 19th century and is accordingly characterized by typical Wilhelminian architecture. Most of these old buildings survived the Second World War more or less unscathed, which is why the neighborhood has been preserved in its original form and still exudes old-Berlin flair.
