We are a French / English family of two adults and two children who have lived in this house for 10 years. We are moving to London for one year initially and plan to stay for a second year, if all goes well. We're therefore renting our house in South West France. It is a four bedroom restored farmhouse, in a stunning rural location with far reaching views over the surrounding countryside. We regularly see deer, hare and pheasants from the kitchen windows, and occasionally wild boar. There is a large south facing terrace and huge garden, with a small swimming pool, which is shared with renters in the small dovecote or 'Pigeonnier', which is a holiday home 20 metres from the house which we rent out in holiday season. There is a link to the Pigeonnier below, which gives you an idea of the house setting and what the area has to offer. The house is just outside a small medieval village called Puylaroque, which has a small grocery shop, butcher, chemist, post office and gourmet restaurant. Toulouse (nearest airport) is 1h15 away by car, or 1h by train. Trains to Paris leave from Caussade (12kms) and take 6 hours, or from Montauban (35kms) and take 4 hours. There is a small primary school in the village (80 children) which takes children from aged 3 to 11. There are numerous interesting places in the area to visit and explore: castles, rivers, lakes, churches, medieval villages, vineyards, music festivals, farmers markets etc For long term rentals, we would consider including the Pigeonnier (link below), which would make a magical writer's studio, in the house rental for an additional monthly fee. For holiday rentals, the house can be rented together with the Pigeonnier to accommodate up to 12 people.
