This studio apartment is spacious, bright, and fully furnished. It offers WIFI throughout. It's located in a charming historic community walking distance to shops, grocery stores, a farmers market, libraries, a gazebo where there are often outdoor music events, restaurants, outdoor eateries, a public swimming pool, post office, hardware store, CVS and Starbuck's, and biking and walking trails. It is a 5-minute walk to a subway that goes directly into downtown DC, the Smithsonian and many other museums, movie theaters, more shopping, the Mall, the Capitol, and the U.S. Botanic Gardens. Or, take the subway to the Amtrak train station (12 minutes) for a weekend visit to New York City, Philadelphia, or beyond. The apartment is also near buses into Silver Spring and is a short drive to the U of MD, American U, Catholic U, Georgetown and GWU. My space is perfect if you're a visiting professor, on a fellowship, on a work assignment, are relocating to DC and need short-term housing, or just want a location to holiday for a while. The apartment is below the main house but above ground, is completely private, and has a private porch that looks out over beautiful gardens. I'm happy to provide more details. Currently, the apartment is rented out until May 15. I also rent out my main home, which has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and an office, for a month or more, depending on my travel schedule. Apartment is aired out and cleaned and disinfected thoroughly between guests, with at least 48 hours (usually more) between guests. Open to non-simultaneous exchange.
