Other central London universities including King’s, Birkbeck and various UAL campuses, as well the British Library are a reasonable distance and transport is straightforward. This flat is well-equipped and situated. It is great for long stays and urban retreats if you are looking to get work/writing done. The kitchen and seating areas are also perfect for anyone who likes to cook and entertain, or for a couple or family looking for some quality time, or for anyone hoping to relax and enjoy some time away while still having access to city conveniences. The area The flat is a stone’s throw from the excellent shops on Roman Road Market, which cater to most palates, including a wide variety of vegan fare. There are several fine greengrocers, coffee and sandwich shops, a good wine shop, Italian bakery, Turkish bakery, traditional pie and mash shop, fish ‘n’ chips spots, cafs, and a Tesco if all else fails. The street is quiet, with no throughway for traffic. There are stands with rental bikes adjacent to the building (which is a low-rise). There is a street market on Roman Road on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, comprised mostly of clothing and homewares. On Sundays there is a popular food and farmers’ market in nearby Victoria Park, as well as the famous Colombia Road flower market and Broadway Market on Saturdays. Transport The flat is walking distance to local transport: Bow Road tube (District, Hammersmith & City lines, 10-minute walk), Bow Church (DLR, 10-minute walk), Mile End (Central line, 15-minute walk), Hackney Wick (Overground, 20-minute walk), and No 8, 276, 488, 339 busses (2-minute walk).
