Paris, Île-de-France, France
We are two academics who live and work in Paris with our young son and will be absent over the month of August. There are two bedrooms, one of which could be converted into an office if need be, a large open kitchen-living space, a small bathroom with a shower, and three French doors which open out onto small balconies overlooking the Place des Fêtes. The neighborhood is particularly vibrant and diverse, the Place des Fêtes has a park with a playground for children, a mini amphitheater and thrice weekly farmers market. We are a few minutes walk from the beautiful Buttes Chaumont park, and Jourdain and Belleville are just down the road. It's very well serviced by public transport and all amenities - supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies bars etc, are within a minute from the apartment. Perfect for a couple or a family discovering Paris today.
Place des Fêtes
Comments: In the diverse and vibrant north east of Paris, where modern high rises cohabit with century-old buildings, this is a perfect place to experience Paris as it is today, while only 15 minutes by metro from Châtelet.
Comments: The apartment is suitable for older children (5 and upwards), but can be adapted for tinier tots.
If you could collect our mail (which the apartment concierge slips under the doormat) and keep it for us upon our return, we'd be greatful!
We have a few pot plants which need watering from time to time.
High Speed Internet
Balcony or Patio
Comments: Light airy apartment in a century-old building, overlooking the Place des Fêtes, its park and parvis. Large French windows each leading onto a mini balcony, 2 bedrooms, a spacious open kitchen-living room, a small bathroom with shower.
