Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
I am seeking a quiet, respectful couple or a small family to rent my home while I am on sabbatical. Sunny, south-facing, 1950s character home with coved ceilings and hard wood floors located in Cadboro Bay. It is within easy walking distance of two beautiful beaches, parks and the village. The rental is for the private, upper floor suite of the house (1500 sq/ft). It includes a master bedroom with a queen size bed. The second bedroom includes both a single bed and a bunk bed, with attached desk: both rooms have ample closet space. The office is currently set up with a comfortable couch and a television, with access to Netflix. There is a small, three-piece bathroom. The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher) and a washer / dryer. The living room contains a gas fireplace, with adjoining dining room, and french doors out to a large wooden deck: offering an additional outdoor sitting and dining area. There is also a large, beautiful garden and backyard to enjoy. Cadboro Bay Village offers a range of amenities, such as grocery and liquor stores, coffee shop, pharmacy, pub, restaurants, juice shop, paddle board rental and yoga studio. The University of Victoria is a twenty minute walk from the house, a ten minute bike ride, or a five minute bus ride. It is also an easy commute to Camosun College. The house is located two minutes from the #11 bus stop and a 25 min direct bus ride to downtown Victoria. Although my preference is to rent the house from April - July, I am open to extending it to the end of August for a longer stay tenant.
