Description

Spacious and light, double aspect flat on the first and second floor of a Victorian terraced house. The entrance is shared with the ground floor flat. The first floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower-bath. The second floor has an open plan modern kitchen and living room with desk and very high ceiling. It's a light and airy space, which feels like an oasis from the city. The flat is well situated, within easy walking distance of the South Bank, London Bridge, Borough Market and the Mercato Metropolitano food market. It's right next to The Castle swimming pool, courts and gym. The transport links are really good - it's only a street from Elephant & Castle tube station which is on the Northern and Bakerloo lines, so direct to Oxford Circus, Piccadilly, Charing Cross, Waterloo and Paddington. It also has loads of bus and rail links. By Thameslink the British Library is 20 min away. Despite being close to a busy intersection, there's not a lot of traffic passing the house. We both work in museums and live out of town most of the time, but would keep the smaller bedroom and would like a tenant who was happy occasionally sharing the space so that we can visit London (probably 1-2 times a month). Please note that we are looking for a single tenant and will not consider renting to a couple. A cleaner comes once a fortnight. No bikes inside the house.
