The farmhouse is surrounded by 16 acres of hay fields with a large 2+ acre mowed lawn great for a game of croquet, baseball etc. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with a queen bed, and 1 with a double bed and single pullout trundle. Additional children's sleeping area possible on a double futon in a curtained off "secret place". Relax on one of the 4 decks/porches, including a screened and covered porch, a large deck off the kitchen with outside table and chairs, or the large second story deck (great for morning coffee!) -- all with ocean views, as well as the large front deck running the length of the house. From the upper deck you can spot the Pictou-PEI ferry in the distance, as well as the occasional cruise ship plying the Northumberland Strait. Large open wooden beamed second floor great room with wide windows, accessed by stairs from kitchen or the outside stairway to the rear upper deck. Access to the beach by short walk to the ocean and down a wooden stairway. Many local attractions including beach parks, fishing wharves, interesting villages with markets and community events Half an hour to historic Pictou and the ferry to Prince Edward Island. Located within commuting distance to Dalhousie University Agricultural campus, and within easy driving to multiple Halifax universities, and to St. Francis Xavier and Mt. Allison.
